East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club presents The Kitchen Sink – an irresistibly funny and tender play about big dreams and small changes.

The path of life never runs smoothly – and it’s no different for Yorkshire couple Martin and Kath and their family.  Martin’s milk float is falling apart, son Billy’s attempts to get into art college hinge on a painting of Dolly Parton, daughter Sophie’s aspirations of being a jiu-jitsu instructor have taken a big hit, and Kath just wants a kitchen sink that works.

A story of the ups and downs of everyday life, Tom Wells’ hilarious and touching comedy invites you into Martin and Kath’s home in Withernsea, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to experience the music of Dolly Parton, the smell of the oil dripping from the parts of Martin’s milk float and the sight of Kath’s desperate attempts to keep the family together and fed on her experimental cuisine.

Amid the dreaming, the dramas and the dirty dishes, something has to give.  But will it be Kath or the kitchen sink?

Witness their struggles at East Kilbride Village Theatre between Wednesday 18th and Saturday 21st of October.

Tickets are priced £9.00 and £6.50 for concessions.  Box office numbers are 01355 248669 or 01355 261000.  Alternatively, you can book online at
