Check in to the California Suite this April

This April, East Kilbride Rep Theatre Club presents a new production of California Suite – Neil Simon’s award winning hilarious comedy about marital mayhem, the madness of love, and why you should never play your best friend at tennis.

As you would expect from the author of such classic comedies as The Odd Couple and Barefoot in the Park, a guaranteed gag fest is promised, as four couples all converge on the same Beverly Hills Hotel suite.

Witness a novice philandering husband desperately trying to avoid detection by his wife, a desperate actress trying to win both an Oscar and the affections of her errant husband and a tennis game that descends into a hilarious war between two couples.

Director Michael Emans gives an insight into how rehearsals are progressing, “We are having a great time rehearsing this play, it’s funny, touching and tremendously entertaining.  Rehearsals are never dull and we are looking forward to getting it in front of an audience.”

The show includes a number of new EK Rep members who are excited about taking to the stage and displaying their talents.  One of the new members, Liam O’Gorman, describes his experience, California Suite is one of the funniest plays I’ve ever read, and the fact that I have the opportunity to be a part of this production is such a privilege.  It’s a good one, trust me.”
